Overview
IsleList Help
Practical guidance for browsing, selling, business storefronts, PayPal payments, plans, and support on IsleList.
Getting started
Browse, search, and public discovery
Browsing starts publicly. You can search before signing in, use island and town filters, open public listing pages, and view seller profiles with feedback context.
The main listings page gives you deeper filters, saved hearts, and more results as you scroll, while the homepage keeps a quick view of fresh local listings.
- Use island and town filters from the homepage to narrow results to your local area first.
- Open the full listings page when you want advanced filters, sorting, and more results.
- Every public listing has a shareable link, and seller pages stay public with active listings, sold items, and feedback tabs.
Getting started
Create an account and verify your email
You only need an account when you want to act, not when you simply want to browse.
Signup only asks for email and password. The extra seller details are collected later, when you are ready to create your first listing.
- Create an account when you are ready to save listings, make an offer, pay through PayPal online, manage your own listings, or start selling.
- Verify your email from Manage Account before your first live offer, Buy Now payment, accepted-offer PayPal payment, or listing publication.
- If you want to sell, the selling flow will ask you to complete your seller profile before your first listing draft is created.
- Manage Account is where you handle username, saved listings, offers, orders, notifications, billing, and deletion requests. Manage Profile is for your public seller presentation and Business storefront setup.
Selling
Create, import, and save a listing draft
Listings start in draft so you can refine the copy, category, price, island, town, and media before anything goes live.
Drafts also support best-effort URL import and optional AI copy enhancement if you want help tightening the title or description.
- Choose up to 3 categories, then set the title, description, price, and location for the listing.
- Add local images or hosted image URLs. Active Pro and Business+ sellers can also attach one optional listing video.
- Select one primary image so cards, the listing page, and shared previews all show the right photo first.
- Use Import from URL for supported public pages such as eBay or another shop page, then review the draft before saving or publishing. Facebook Marketplace imports are not supported.
Selling
Publish and manage live listings
Once the draft is ready and your email is verified, you can publish the listing and start sharing it publicly.
After that, My Listings stays in charge of the day-to-day work, including edits, offer handling, boosts where available, and sale-state changes.
- Publish from the listing editor when the draft is complete.
- Discard a draft or delete an unsold listing when you no longer need it.
- Use My Listings to edit listings, review offers, archive or reactivate items, boost eligible listings, and mark a sale as complete.
Offers and trust
Offers, negotiation, and sale-state changes
Buyers make offers directly from active listing pages. Each offer becomes a thread so the conversation stays attached to the listing.
Some listings also show Buy Now. Accepted offers can lead to local payment arrangements or PayPal online payment, depending on the seller's settings and plan.
- Buyers must be signed in and verified before they can submit a live offer or complete a PayPal payment.
- Buy Now and accepted-offer online payment send the buyer to PayPal using the seller's registered IsleList email and mark the listing sold when payment completes.
- Accepting an offer moves the listing to offer accepted. Sellers can still cancel that accepted offer if the arrangement falls through.
- Accepted offers can show cash, bank transfer, or PayPal payment options depending on what the seller has enabled.
- Buying orders appear in Manage Account, and active Business+ sellers can track seller-side online orders there too.
Offers and trust
Feedback, saved listings, and seller trust
Feedback is reserved for completed sales so seller trust signals reflect real completed transactions.
Saved listings and public seller pages make it easier to compare items, come back later, and decide who you want to buy from.
- Use the heart on a listing card or listing page to save it, then revisit it later from the Saved tab in Manage Account.
- Feedback opens after a sold listing is linked to the accepted buyer path. If a seller cancels an accepted offer, only the seller can optionally leave buyer feedback for that cancelled handover.
- Manage Profile controls display name, bio, avatar, island, nearest town, and, when the profile type is Business, your public business contact details, cover image, storefront colors, and featured profile slots.
- Public seller pages show active listings, sold items, and feedback summary so buyers can review the seller before making an offer.
Billing and support
Personal, Business, Pro, and Business+ accounts, billing, and analytics
IsleList has two free seller account types, Personal and Business, plus two paid upgrades, Pro and Business+.
Pro is GBP 9.99/month for Personal sellers. Business+ is GBP 29.99/month for Business sellers. Your first paid Pro or Business+ plan includes the shared one-time 14-day free trial.
- Personal and free Business sellers can attach up to 6 images per listing. Pro and Business+ sellers can attach up to 20 images plus 1 video.
- Use Manage Profile to switch between free Personal and Business account types. Choosing Business unlocks business name, website, separate public business email and phone, category, cover image, storefront background and text colors, plus 3 featured slots with images, Markdown content, and optional CTA links. Active Business+ sellers can keep up to 9 featured slots.
- Personal accounts keep the standard seller profile and listing flow, so Business storefront controls only appear when the profile type is Business.
- Use the subscriptions page or Manage Account to start the matching paid plan, open the billing portal, and review your current subscription state. Personal sellers can only upgrade to Pro, and Business sellers can only upgrade to Business+.
- Use Notifications to keep up with listing, offer, order, billing, and support activity, and to adjust which categories still email you.
Billing and support
Reporting spam, support, deletion, and safety
If something looks wrong, IsleList gives you both self-serve safety guidance and a direct way to ask for help.
Support can help with account access, billing, orders, moderation, suspicious activity, and deletion requests.
- Use the report flow on a listing if you suspect spam, fraud, or policy violations.
- Use the support page for account, billing, orders, moderation, safety, or deletion questions.
- Read the safety and community guidance before meeting for payment and handover, even when a listing uses Buy Now or accepted-offer PayPal payment.
